Please note:
Pressure and temperature ratings are dependent on flange class, body material, gasket material, screen selection, process media and installation conditions. The customer or system designer must confirm chemical compatibility, pressure rating, temperature rating and suitability for the intended service before installation.

These units are supplied with ANSI 150 flanged connections and are available in sizes DN25 to DN300. The supplier-listed pressure range is 0 to 20 bar, with a media temperature range of -20°C to 180°C. Standard screen perforations are listed as 1 mm for DN25 to DN50 and 2 mm for DN65 to DN300.

Brochure and Datasheet Downloads

The YSSS Series stainless steel flanged Y strainer provides a compact and practical solution for removing unwanted solids from process pipelines. Installed upstream of sensitive equipment, the strainer helps reduce blockages, protect valves and pumps, and minimise the risk of damage caused by loose debris within the pipeline.

The Y-pattern body allows the strainer screen to be positioned at an angle to the flow path, providing effective debris collection while maintaining a compact inline design. The screen is accessed through the bolted cap for cleaning and maintenance once the pipeline has been safely isolated, depressurised and drained.

The strainer body and cap are manufactured from CF8M stainless steel, with a 316 stainless steel screen and stainless steel fasteners. A carbon-filled PTFE body gasket and PTFE plug gasket provide broad compatibility across a range of industrial media and operating temperatures.

Typical applications include water treatment, process water, brine, steam, chemical service, food and beverage utilities, washdown systems, plant services and general industrial pipelines. Final product selection should always be confirmed against the process fluid, pressure, temperature, corrosion compatibility, flange standard, gasket material and required screen aperture.

Pressure Drop Charts YSCS & YSSS Series

Legend: Theoretical Pressure Drop - PSI (y - axis) versus Flow Rate - GPM (x -axis)

Please Note

  • These curves are theoretical; actual results may vary depending on installation conditions and other variables. Use these values for reference only.
  • The above pressure drop charts are based upon 3mm (1/8") perforated screens handling clean water at 15.5 °C (60 °F) during ideal inlet and outlet conditions. Therefore, they should only be used for estimation purposes.

Conversion Values

  • 1 gallon (US)/minute = 3.785 L/min
  • 1 psi = 6.89476 kPa or 1 kPa = 0.145038 psi

Multiply the Correction Factor by the pressure drop obtained from the charts to calculate Δ P for other liquids (besides water) and mesh lined screens and baskets.
