Backflushing Self-Cleaning Strainers
Backflushing strainers provide continuous pipeline filtration by cleaning the strainer element in place—without dismantling the housing. As debris collects on the screen, a differential-pressure (or timer) controlled cycle diverts flow through a flushing path and reverses/flushes across the element to dislodge trapped solids and carry them to drain.
This automatic “backwash” action reduces maintenance, lowers downtime, and helps protect pumps, control valves, heat exchangers and spray nozzles in systems with steady solids loading.
