Monarch is seeking a Welder / Fabricator to join our Brisbane workshop team.

We are not a high-volume production shop making the same item every day. We design, manufacture, modify, and repair a very custom range of industrial products, including filtration equipment, strainers, screens, housings, pipework-related components, sheet metal items, and general engineered assemblies. Our workshop supports both one-off custom jobs and short production runs for industrial clients. We are looking first and foremost for a person with the right attitude and aptitude.

Experience is valuable, but we will also consider someone with limited experience who is practical, switched on, willing to learn, and genuinely interested in building a long-term role with us.

About the role:

This is a hands-on workshop role involving a mix of:

  • Welding and fabrication
  • Sheet metal work and formed components
  • Assembly of custom industrial products
  • Repair and modification work
  • Working from drawings, samples, and marked-up instructions
  • Supporting the manufacture of custom filtration and engineering products

Our workshop work can include MIG and TIG welding, custom fabrication, and manufacturing support across a broad range of industrial jobs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Is mechanically minded and enjoys practical problem-solving
  • Takes pride in neat, accurate work
  • Is willing to learn our products, methods, and standards
  • Can follow instructions and also use initiative when required
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Understands the importance of quality, safety, and reliability
  • Wants to contribute to a business that manufactures custom products, not just repetitive stock items

Experience we would value:

  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Experience with sheet metal, light to medium fabrication, or workshop assembly
  • Ability to read workshop drawings
  • Experience using general fabrication equipment and hand tools
  • Forklift licence or other practical workshop skills would be an advantage

What matters most:

The most important thing is not that you already know everything about our product range. What matters most is that you have the attitude to learn and the aptitude to understand and manufacture custom products to a high standard.

Why join Monarch?

  • Diverse and interesting workshop work
  • Opportunity to work on custom engineered products
  • Supportive team environment
  • Long-term opportunity for the right person
  • Brisbane-based workshop with a broad mix of industrial manufacturing and engineering work

Apply now if you want to be part of a practical Australian business that values reliability, problem-solving, and the willingness to learn.
